Memory Care in Elderly- A daunting task

90 year old man, checks into the facility as  Independent living  resident with no family support. His wife, diagnosed with Dimentia, lives in the facility. He refuses to share the room with his wife, but visits her every day and spends most of the time with her. His short term memory is much worse than his wife.

Family Physician refuses to see him because of his belligerent attitude. He had a good life and feels nothing is wrong with him, he is, his own power of attorney and for his wife. Employees are frustrated with his attitude and are ready to quit.

How does one handle this scenario?
